Description: Hello again vintage Ludwig drum fans. Here we have a classic vintage Ludwig Downbeat bass drum, Circa 1965. Chicago, USA -- the good stuff! 14 deep x 20 inches round. Highly sought after drum that is hard to find and appreciating annually in value. Finished in original silver sparkle. Original wrap finish. No modifications to the drum or hardware! This drum is in super original and excellent condition. Unlike many of these vintage drums there are no modifications to the shell or hardware. Tight seam, no lifting or bubbling. No added holes in the shell, no missing or broken hardware. Before listing this drum I searched online and found only a handful of vintage Downbeat drums for sale, with only a few having no modifications to the drum shell, wrap finish or hardware. Even exterior coloring, no blotchy discolored areas. Beautiful sparkle finish that looks amazing in natural lighting and under stage lights. Shell interior has its original white paint. Interior, bearing edges and reinforcement rings in excellent condition. All chrome hardware is in excellent condition, no rust or pitting, brilliant chrome finish. Original keystone badge and grommet, all in excellent condition, no damage, no loose areas. Details/Specs: Bass drum -- 14 deep x 20 inches round. Serial numbers 290123. Original hoops with original matching inlay. No missing inlay sections. No cracks in the hoops. The hoop black paint has been restored to a rich black finish. All inlay sections and original and match perfectly to the rest of the drum. Original Ludwig inscribed rail mount and post, in excellent order. All lugs, tension rods and claws are original and excellent. Original legs/spurs and mounts. Rubber feet on the leg tips in mint condition. Original cymbal tilter/arm mount - the arm itself is missing which is the case on most of the drums. Original Ludwig WeatherMaster resonate head, Remo Pin Stripe coated batter head, both in excellent condition.
