He is sitting in a room with a floor made of long planks and there is a window and a door behind him. Did he wake-up in middle of the night because he was thirsty and now he is having a beer?. The design is raised and is colored in yellow in the recessed center of the plate. The edge of the plate is colored in brown or brownish-purple with a raised design of repeating shells and fleur-de-lis on a geometric design background consisting of lines and circles. The edge of teh [late has a raised scroll design. The back of the plate is mottled in brown on off-white background in a typical majolica fashion. Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and very interesting piece of Majolica that is in great condition, which would display very well and make a nice addition to your Majolica collection.. Condition: The plate is in excellent condition with no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. It does have general crazing to the glaze throughout both on the front and back. It also has a few spots where there are some stains to the surface (see 9:00 O'clock), which appear to be original to the plate. In addition, the plate has a few of raised spots on the surface which are due to manufacturing error where extra material was left on the plate and glazed over. Be that as it may, the plate is beautiful, different, and just in great shape. Just a great piece, which would look great in your collection. Please view photos to appreciate the piece's beauty and for additional condition information. Please note the stand shown in the photos is NOT part of the sale, it used to make taking the photos easier. Our Guarantee Please view our 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence.
