Vintage Stanley Bailey No3 Wood Plane * Kidney Cap* Flat Sole USA (REF3)

Description: I have a nice Stanley Bailey no3 flat sole smoothing plane for sale. This plane is in good condition and works very well. The iron has very good length and the cap snaps into place correctly. The cap has some wear in on the back where it has tension.. a common wear point, but it works well.The flog works well and it has a good lateral and rear adjuster and has the larger baker light knob .. it is a solid piece, I believe post 1940's due to the kidney cap style. It has some wear on the finish on the tote and knob, both are in good used condition, the tote has a couple of surface cracks mid handle, with no wood loss. The original handle was black, which you can still see a little... a good one to refinish...the japanning has some wear from age and use..This is a solid plane, with very good steel, from great era with a good original iron, price is based on good condition.
