Description: Offered is a Vintage 1947 postcard (dated by # at border of PC) depicting The Bly[n]man Cut Bridge at Gloucester, Massachusetts. Error on PC. Boy .... do I remember coming out from the Blyman years ago, just in time to hit the mother of all Squalls .... en route to the Misery Islands on a Saturday night. Fastest anchoring job in history. A book could probably be written that would incorporate boaters' adventures coming through the Blynman canal. Never dull, but sure saved a ton of time. * Unused PC New Old Stock, essentially in "new", Mint condition. The postcard is from the Curt Teich Archives. The card has been in our possession for approximately 15+ years ... long before the Curteich digitally archived collection found its permanent home with The Newberry Institute. At the time of our acquisition, the Lake County Discovery Museum in IL was the custodian of the company's records, having served in that capacity since 1982. We ship weekdays with the exception of US federal holidays. We will ship with either free shipping or calculated shipping ... it depends on the given scenario.
