Description: Sweet vintage framed print "In Disgrace" by Bessie Pease Gutmann. Frame measures approx 20" x 16" (print size is 18" x 14"). Originally gifted on Christmas Day 1944. Inscription on back reads: "To Catherine and George Dec. 25, 1944 from Mother, McDermott." Great vintage condition. Print is very clean with a very subtle upper right corner crease (only ever noticed taking photos under harsh light at one angle --- oddly becomes invisible at most angles). Note the frame has some paint wear typical of frame age. Frame is sturdy but has a little play in some corners. Original backing paper has tear and was removed then re-attached with tape at some point but is original to the frame. A very nice framed Bessie Pease Gutmann print authentic to its 1940's era.
