Description: Discounted and still shipped free … This is a rare-vintage Vincent DELL’OSA (Philadelphia, PA) handmade professional trumpet mouthpiece Forgive me, as it’s been many many years since I got this and don’t completely remember every detail… Studying trumpet many years ago in Philadelphia, there was only one local place to go for repairs, etc, and that was Vincent Dell’Osa on 13th and Dickinson Streets in South Philly. I spent many hours with him, just listening, watching him work and meeting the other musicians that came to his shop. During our time together he made me this mouthpiece (as well a few others). This one was for my orchestral/quintet use, not my jazz piece. It is not marked in size and I don’t have digital calipers anymore to take accurate measurements. At the time I was using a larger size rim (Bach size 1 1/2C, 3C) and deeper bowl and a smaller size (7C) for jazz. I looked over some notes I had and I believe this is a size 3 with the 117 Bach-style backbore and around a 25 throat.
