Description: WORKING Vintage 1960's Sheridan "Blue Streak" .20 Caliber 5 MM Pellet Air Gun Rifle Up for your consideration is a NICE "WORKING" Vintage Sheridan "Blue Streak" .20 Caliber 5 MM Pellet Air Gun Rifle that is from the 1960's circa. This piece is authentic, unrestored, and is being offered in good overall operational condition. As with most all items that we sell our in-house inspection team first gave this item a good lookover and the following are their notes: Inspection Notes & Comments - Used & unrestored conditionRifle pumps, cocks, & fires as desired with no known mechanical issues. Note - Rifle was pumped & test fired multiple times with 3 - 8 pumps between each shot.Walnut stock appears to be original which was standard for all Sheridan 'Blue Streak' Air Rifles back in the 1960's. Note - (3) Non-factory holes were found drilled into the left side of the stock. See photos for more detail. Purpose of holes are unknown. Inspectors commented that the rifle worked fine, but suggested that the new owner may want to consider oiling all of the metal parts & components, as well as the wooden stock as it appeared both were very dry. Minor scratching were found on the stock, barrel, and safety button area. No major nicks, gouges, cracks, etc. were found during our inspection. Pump mechanism was strong & works as expected.Trigger & bolt mechanism seemed to work well. Note - Bolt loading mechanism may not be original as it appears to be slightly different from what has been seen on most Sheridan "Blue Streak" model. Original rear iron site appears to be missing. No major rust or corrosion was found during inspection. See photos for more detail as to item's overall condition. Dimensions - Item Length 37" Overall rifle is believed to be in good used condition especially for an item is over 60 years of age. Sheridan was the air rifle that all young boys and girls dreamed of owning back in the day. Unfortunately there are not too many of these old boys around anymore especially in working condition.
