Description: Here's a great, large, old original sleeve badge for a Petty Officer 1st Class of the WW2 Royal Canadian Navy, RCNR and RCNVR. It's a very large 4 1/2" tall though the edges could have been folded under before sewing this on. This would have been worn on the whites round rig jumper. Round rig was the nickname for the round seaman's cap and everything that was worn beneath it. Square rig was the forage cap and likewise, the double breasted jacket. This is done on a heavy cotton drill cloth with a white sack cloth backing. It's a really top quality item. Good luck bidding and thanks for looking at another auction from The Mighty Atom.
