Description: WWII Era US Army M1 Carbine Bayonet w/Leather Handle & US M8A1 Scabbard for the M1 Carbine - Marked: Utica with Flaming Bomb - Original - Very NICE Condition Up for sale is WWII Era US Army M1 Carbine Bayonet w/Leather Handle & US M8A1 Scabbard for the M1 Carbine. It is marked: Utica with the Flaming Bomb. This bayonet has the early Leather Handle. The leather has darkened with age. The leather is still soft and supple. No cracks or breaks in the leather. Just a few handling marks and nicks. A few cuts and "pin prick" marks in the leather, see photo. The bayonet is used, see photo's for condition. No rust or pitting. No nicks or chips in the blade, see photo. Some scabbard wear on the blade. No evidence of excessive sharpening. Very NICE overall condition. It has a US M8A1 marked Scabbard. Normal handling marks on the scabbard. No cracks in the plastic, see photo. Some soiling of the canvas upper and the belt hook is no longer present.
